The Mosin-Nagant Rifle, 6th Edition (For collectors only)The Mosin-Nagant Rifle, 6th Edition (For collectors only)

Although the Mosin-Nagant rifle was in use for more than sixty years by half the world's military forces, no book in the English language has ever traced its development and identified all its models and variations as manufactured around the world, including in the United States. No provided the part-by-part information needed by the collector and shooter.

This is the first book in English, ever written about the Mosin-Nagant. It identifies every single model manufactured in Russia, France, the United States, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Finland, China and North Korea. Every part is described with all changes and markings, making it possible to identify the national origins of not only the rifle as a whole, but of every part.

Chapters provide a history of its development and use from 1892 to its last manufacture in Hungary and China in the mid-1950s. Then each part is analyzed showing all changes in chronological order. All variations are described from the original rifle to the M1944 carbine with its unique folding bayonet. All Finnish variations are described and a history of the tiny country's relations with its giant next door neighbor is included to show the derivation of Finland's line of Mosin-Nagants.

Sniper rifles from all countries are listed in a separate chapter as is the ammunition produced for the rifle and all accessories issued to the combat soldier. Of great value to the collector is the huge list of markings and codes found on all Mosin-Nagant rifles of whatever national origin, the first ever compiled.

The Mosin-Nagant was one of the earliest small-caliber battle rifles developed in the late 19th century. Its rugged design and construction are borne out by the fact that the only changes ever made to its basic design were to shorten and lighten the rifle as ammunition improved and battle conditions changed. The Mosin-Nagant is without doubt, one of the premier battles rifles of the late 19th and early 20th century and a testament to skill of it Russian designer.

Soviet Submachine Guns of World War II: PPD-40, PPSh-41 and PPS (Weapon)Soviet Submachine Guns of World War II: PPD-40, PPSh-41 and PPS (Weapon)

The Russian PPD-40, PPSh-41, and PPS family of SMGs were a key part of Soviet infantry assault doctrine in World War II and beyond.

Featuring expert analysis and an array of specially commissioned full-color artwork, this engaging study explains the history, use and development of Soviet wartime SMGs in detail. It gives particular focus to the tactical applications of these weapons in combat, and how they compared to firearms wielded by their German opponents. With numerous first-hand combat accounts, and detailed technical explanations, this book is ideal for both the general reader and the firearms enthusiast.

The submachine gun (SMG) came to be the embodiment of the Soviet fighting spirit during World War II. From 1943 the Red Army's preference for close-quarters combat resulted in entire infantry units being equipped with nothing but SMGs. By deploying multiple SMG-armed companies and battalions, the Red Army was able to develop ferocious firepower in urban warfare and position assaults, the soldiers keeping within the SMG's effective range of about 150m to nullify the German skills in armoured and manoeuvre warfare, artillery support and aerial bombardment.

Three particular designs dominated the war. First came the PPD-40, a weapon initially designed in the 1930s but rationalized for more efficient production in 1940. This 7.62mm firearm, with a cyclic rate of 800rpm, was in production until 1941, when it was replaced by the defining Soviet SMG of the war - the PPSh-41. Here was a weapon perfectly suited to wartime conditions. It was rugged, cheap to produce, simple to operate and delivered devastating close-quarters firepower. The story of the Soviet wartime SMG is completed by the PPS, designed for even cheaper and faster production, first put into small-scale production inside the besieged city of Leningrad in 1942. This remarkable weapon never replaced the PPSh-41, however, possibly as much because of political as production considerations. Both the PPSh-41 and PPS went on to post-war service with various communist states, seeing combat in the Korean War, the Indochina and Vietnam Wars and various colonial insurgencies in Africa and Asia.

Brass Stacker MN384453SSM Scout Scope Mount for Mosin Nagant M38, M44 and T53 Rifles, BlackBrass Stacker MN384453SSM Scout Scope Mount for Mosin Nagant M38, M44 and T53 Rifles, Black

The See Thru Scout Scope Mount for Mosin Nagant M38, M44 and T53 rifles chambered in 7.62x54r allows you to "Scope your Mosin" while preserving its historic integrity. Mount and MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail are rigid steel construction with black oxide finish and bolt securely over rear sight block. Any scope on any mount that receives an impact (dropped, hit, etc.) should not be trusted to be accurate. This product provides ability to use original open sights if mount/scope have been compromised. Mount is designed for use with rear sight blocks that have ONE pin passing through the top edge of barrel and sight leaf pivot pin. The pin hole is often located inconsistently as a result of original manufacturing process. The pin hole, relative to the pivot pin, is frequently not parallel and may be skewed. Occasionally, the block itself can be out of alignment with the bore axis. This condition can adversely affect how Mount sits. Mount will accommodate a front to back (horizontal, parallel to bore axis) pin center distance of 1.56" (39.6mm) to 1.79" (45.4mm) and allows for an up and down (vertical, perpendicular to bore axis) pin center distance of .18" (4.6mm) to .41" (10.3mm). It is designed for blocks measuring between .750" (19.05mm) and .787" (20.00mm) wide. We have made every reasonable effort to ensure that Mount will work with vast majority of M38, M44 and T53's. Mount will NOT work for M9130. Scope/rings NOT provided. Made in America with a 100% Lifetime Warranty.

Brass Stacker See Thru Scout Scope Mount and NcSTAR 2.75x22mm SCOUT SCOPE Combo for Mosin Nagant 9130Brass Stacker See Thru Scout Scope Mount and NcSTAR 2.75x22mm SCOUT SCOPE Combo for Mosin Nagant 9130

Brass Stacker Model 9130-SSM See Thru Scout Scope Mount for Mosin Nagant 91/30's. SPECIFICATIONS: The Mount will accommodate a front to back (horizontal) pin center distance of 1.39" (35.3mm) to 1.82" (46.7mm) and allows for .039" (1mm) of up and down (vertical) movement. The Mount is designed to fit over rear sight blocks that measure between .750"(19.05mm) and .787"(20.00mm) wide. The total weight including hardware is 5.5 oz. Please note that we have made every reasonable effort to ensure that our Mount will work with the vast majority of 9130's. If for any reason our Mount does not work with your specific 9130 it can be returned (undamaged) for a full refund. FITMENT NOTES: This mount will NOT work for an M38/M44! See Model 3844-SSM for a M38/M44. The pin holes in the rear sight block are often located inconsistently as a result of the original manufacturing process. The two holes are frequently not parallel to each other and may be out of alignment or skewed. The mount can only accomodate so much of this misalignment. You should measure the center distances from pin to pin on both sides and check those with the dimensions listed in the SPECIFICATIONS to ensure that the mount will fit properly. A 3mm drill is provided and can be used to clean out and straighten (to some degree) without enlarging the pins holes once the pins are removed. The pin holes for the rear sight block are generally .118"(3.0mm) in diameter and the supplied 3mm bolts have a nominal OD of .115"(2.92mm). This tight fit along with the use of an appropriate liquid thread locker for the screws and nuts, as well as proper tightening of the same should result in no movement of the Mount during normal firing recoil. Occasionally the rear sight block itself, as it sits on the barrel dovetail underneath, can be out of alignment with the bore axis. This condition, if extreme, can adversely effect how the Mount sits. NcSTAR 2.75x22mm SCOUT SCOPE Model: SSB27522G included.
